About Body Piercing
Body piercing and modification are forms of self-expression that involve altering one’s body through the placement of jewellery, implants, or other objects. These practices have been around for centuries and are a common way for individuals to express their unique personalities and individuality.
Body piercing involves creating a hole or opening in the skin, usually with a needle or similar instrument, and then inserting a piece of jewellery into the hole. Common piercing locations include the earlobes, nose, eyebrows, lips, tongue, and belly button.
Body modification, on the other hand, involves more extreme changes to the body, such as scarification, branding, or implants. Scarification involves intentionally creating scars on the skin, while branding involves using heat to create a permanent mark on the skin. Implants involve the insertion of objects beneath the skin, such as silicone or metal shapes, to create a unique appearance.
